Dr. Don Sloan doesn’t just sit around intellectualizing about the need for a national single payer healthcare system in this country. He pours his energy into helping to build the movement providing the impetus for political success for this growing national sentiment. Don insists in his book that our major problem is the “medical industrial complex,” those corporations that burn up over 1/3rd of the money we spend for healthcare and don’t provide us any healthcare at all— the insurance companies.
