RiverWood Books author Jeff Golden has launched his campaign for Jackson County Commissioner.

Jeff explains, "This campaign has one focus: leadership that helps Jackson County become stronger and more self-reliant as the country and the state fall into deeper crisis. That means keeping our dollars in our own community by supporting locally owned businesses in every way possible. It means expanding the supply of healthy, locally-grown food with land-use and water policies that let more people make their living off the land. It means careful use of our natural resources -- especially water, farmland and timber -- because it's up to us to make sure our children and their children have what they need to prosper after we're gone."
Golden for Jackson County will be out in the community in all kinds of ways this year, looking and listening every way we can for energy and ideas that will make life in this Valley more secure, sustainable and enjoyable. Lots of house parties, some dance gatherings, an outdoor festival or two this summer---whatever will stir up some fun and excitement about what this community can do.
