Jeff Hauptman

Chef Jeff Hauptman is a 30-year veteran of the restaurant and catering industry. A native New Yorker, he worked his culinary magic in San Diego before relocating to Ashland, Oregon, where he is well-known for his elegant and healthily menus.

In 2004,  Jeff learned of a diabetic condition that changed his personal approach to food and lifestyle choices. He lost 55 pounds while becoming well versed in creating exciting gourmet recipes for a variety of therapeutic, nutritional, and special diets, including low glycemic, salt free, gluten free and dairy free cooking.

He is currently a “health food” chef, cooking teacher, coach and caterer who specializes in teaching weight control and Diabetes management. Jeff coaches individuals with dietary restrictions or food allergies and is an advocate of whole, natural and organic foods.

His work has been acknowledged in Oprah Winfrey's diet cookbook, and in "The Healthy Kitchen", a cookbook by Dr. Andrew Weil. The Gerson Institute has also acknowledged his contribution in preparing their therapeutic recipes.
