Praise for The Master
“This is a treasure of spiritual and moral wisdom, with a depth that impacts the mind, inspires the heart, and moves the will to love.”
Wayne Teasdale, author of The Mystic Heart
A parable from The Master
The Master often said that time could be better spent looking inward than outward. When asked what he meant, he told this story. “A glass cleaner erected scaffolding and proceeded to climb toward the few windows that were out of reach. When he arrived, he took his sponge, soaked the glass, and ran his squeegee. But the glass didn’t wash clean. After just a few attempts he realized that the dirt was on the inside.” The Master then added, “So it is with each of us, which is why we must turn our attention inward.”
