Juan Cole

Juan Ricardo Cole is a public intellectual, prominent blogger and essayist, and the Richard P. Mitchell Collegiate Professor of History at the University of Michigan.

He has authored, edited, or translated many books about the Middle East, an area he has been studying for over twenty years. He spent six years in the Arab world, and has also lived in Ethiopia, India, and Pakistan.
