"Dear people of America,
I wish to thank you, the people of America, because you support peace. The leaders of your country deserve no thanks. Sometimes when Americans visit my country, the Sahara, they talk a lot and they bring a lot of stuff. We Tuareg live simply and by our virtues. America doesn’t have virtues they live by. That’s why the people are lost. Sometimes they are afraid to sleep out under the stars; they aren’t friends with nature anymore. We can learn a lot from them and they can learn a lot from us.I have seen pictures of the Natives in your country. They are similar to us. They are beautiful, they are our brothers. One day we will reunite with them. All the people with pure hearts are our brothers.
