Chris Haft
Chris Haft is MLB.com’s beat writer for the San Francisco Giants, and has been covering the team since 2005, after growing up as a Northern Californian worshipping in the Giants’ cold, windy temple of Candlestick Park. He’s been covering Major League Baseball full-time for most of the past twenty years. He lives in the Bay area. For Chris, the joy of covering the Giants’ championship season includes seeing on a day-to-day basis, “The continued emergence of Andres Torres ... the guts of Freddy Sanchez ... the fire of Brian Wilson ... the purity of Buster Posey ... the hilarity of Aubrey Huff ... the wisdom of Bruce Bochy ... the quiet dignity of Edgar Renteria ... the resourcefulness and, in the end, sheer excellence of Tim Lincecum. In other words, I could go on and on.”
